Guajillo's has some items on their menu that we weren't familiar with when we went there for belated birthday dinner on a Friday night. We ended up ordering the al pastor tacos (which comes as a plate with 5 mini tortillas (taquitos?) absolutely piled with meat) and the bistec a la Mexicana - both were delicious and filling! FYI, if you want pico de gallo on the side, they don't have it, although that wasn't a negative thing for us. We got the Ronchata and a Tamarindo Frozen Margarita to drink and boy, do they make their drinks strong

Guajillos is easily my family's favorite spot in San Antonio for some authentic Mexican food. Their food is always fresh and the taste of everything is so consistent. The gringa, pozole, and tacos de pastor are a few of our favorite dishes. The michelada has the perfect flavor and reminds me of my first trip to Mexico. The service is always quick and the servers are always so friendly and attentive. You can tell the people who run this business are about their employees and the quality of their food. The ambiance is chill and low key so you don't have be dressed up to eat here which I like. If you're looking for somewhere to eat in San Antonio that is authentic and has great quality food Guajillos is the place to visit.

If you want high quality food for decent prices this is the place to try! The Green Pozole is perfect for chilly weather with a slight kiss of spicy. After being greeted they served chips and salsa for the table and man... the salsa is not for the weak but still very flavorful! I got the Albondigas which was soo good! The meatballs had good flavor with the chipotle being a touch milder than the salsa. The rice and beans taste like home for me and are packed with great flavor which combo well with a fresh tortilla. I tried a bite of my fiancés Bistec Mini Taco and we will definitely be coming back for more. Each bite was packed with the most tender and juicy bits of thin steak you could hope for with the plates having a good portion for each of the six tacos. The service was warm and welcoming, I see another visit for me in the near future but not soon enough.

I have passed by this place for years and finally stopped by. Wow, I loved my chile rilleno made with love. I say that because the rilleno was made perfectly with the tell tale egg batter and queso blanco flavors balanced perfectly by expert hands. The service was outstanding here. The employees work as a team and are focused on the customers. Do not let the crowded parking lot scare you away like it did me, the place has more room than appears from the street.

This place was excellent! The table salsa is the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Usually I end up asking for something spicier but this stuff was perfect. Not a standard tomato based sauce, tasted like chile de arbol which was confirmed by the waiter. Quite good. The only tragedy was that the chips were not good, that salsa deserves better! I also got the birria soup and it was top notch. The waiter mentioned that it was sort of spicy but I didn't get that at all. Big chunks of mutton and the broth was perfect. I'd eat it every night and twice on tuesdays. If they offered a ramen version of this I'd be in heaven. I stay at the hotel nearby pretty regularly so this place will be on my return list!

I love Guajillos so much! They have the BEST chile relleno I have ever had! It's always hot and fresh and tastes so good with their rice and beans. Their salsa is super spicy and I love adding it to everything I order, it gives everything a "flavor elevation." The frijol dorado is by far my favorite appetizer! Who knew beans in a crispy tortilla with a spicy mayo, onion, and queso fresco could be so mind blowing delicious! And their corn tortillas are addicting, the flavor is like nothing I've ever had. I have never had bad service here, everyone is always friendly and attentive, as well as accommodating. Though they occupy a small corner it is surprisingly big inside and has really nice Mexican artwork on the walls. They are usually very busy during lunch so it can be loud. I recommend dinner time or weekends.

Hands down, best Fidep soup in San Antonio. Y'all can argue but I've tried lots of places and this one just nails it. Not sure how long this restaurant has been here but I've been eating there for years. The food is outstanding and is not very Tex mex. So you get authentic Mexican food. Staff is friendly, and the restaurant has all ranges of ages and races, so that means everyone loves it.

Guajillo is San Antonio's best kept secret! Guajillo has authentic Mexican food, it truly is the Shortcut to Mexico! I am so grateful I decided to stop by on my commute home. I kept seeing it on Blanco road and something told me to give it a try today. I walked into a welcoming host that let me choose from table or booth. I sat at a table by a mirror which gave me a great view of the restaurant. I saw the menu and I had the pleasure of being served by Alex whom was a nice gentleman. You can really tell the quality of an establishment by it's service. The chile for the chips and salsa is the best I have tried at a restaurant. It was sooo good! I decided on the Chile Relleno which is a stuffed green pepper with cheese and battered with fried egg, on top is a garlicky tomato sauce. The Mexican rice and refried beans were also very good. It's as if I had been transported to Mexico, there were families and couples dinning and everyone seemed to love the food too. When I finished my entree Alex suggested Arroz Con Leche so I gave it a try, it was cold which I loved in this summer heat. It was topped with cinnamon and raisins like they do in Mexico. You will truly enjoy Guajillo Restaurant, I couldn't believe I hadn't been there before. Take your friends! Take your family! Take Your Beloved! You will be pleasantly surprised!
